What Is The Difference 2-Stroke And 4-Stroke?

July 21, 2008 – 12:33 am

The two stroke engines on a gas powered scooter burn the gas and oil that lubricates the engine as part of the internal combustion process, in the end this will result in amazing lower end torque, the goal is obviously less moving parts and an amazing efficiency of fuel. The four stroke engines are more related to the engines of a car, in that they keep the lubrication and the fuel systems in completely different categories, this results in keeping the emission levels down a huge ammount since there is no oil being burned during, which is different than the two stroke. This helps for the gas powered scooters efficiency to be greater than any other gas powered scooters on the entire gas powered scooters universe. Most modern gas powered scooters utilize the four stroke engine type, though many of the modern gas powered scooters actually will use the two stroke, most often in the 50 cc models. The biggest downfall of the four stroke is that they are very prone to overheating, this would make the gas powered scooters not work properly if this happens, but this most often occurs when the engine is run at max speed for several hours, which in turn will lead to a ton of internal damage.
